2022 Slingshot – Pill | Wakeboard Review

The Slingshot Pill has been Slingshots flagship, purpose built boat board for years and by the same token it is also Slingshot’s stiffest board. The stiffness in this board comes from the carbon wrap, which allows it to maintain its rigidity without gaining weight. This added rigidity also allowed the board to have a very solid pop off the top of the wake. We did find that the drawback to this 3-stage rocker’s solid pop performance was a lack of speed across the water. The Slingshot Pill was definitely on the slower side but in addition to the pop there were other very positive characteristics in this wakeboard. Typically 3-stage rockers have a bit rougher landings but the spine that runs in the middle of the board from tip to tail made the landings quite nice. This board is all around just a constant shape that provides a very solid pop.
