To call the Slingshot Coaster a true-to-form “skim board” would be misleading as it is more like a skim on steroids. Its flat rockerline does derive from a skim style shape making it a very quick board across the water leaving little work to be done in order to stay in the wave, hence the name “Coaster.” This speed and ease of ride is created by the bigger footprint making it great for beginners. New users can focus on board control without getting spit out the back at the drop of the handle. In the case of more experienced riders, this board can still be used to dial in shuvs or even just generate the speed needed for bottom turns and ollies. Beginner or advanced, skim or surf, just about anyone can find something to like on this board.
