The 2026 World Wake Surfing Championship Hits Lake Silver Oct. 1–3

The biggest week on the wakesurf calendar is almost here. The 30th Annual World Wake Surfing Championship (WWSC), presented by GM Marine, runs October 1–3, 2026 on Lake Silver in Winter Haven, Florida, and it closes out a full season of World Series of Wake Surfing competition with a new class of world champions.
This year’s field is stacked. After a spring and summer of qualifying events, 137 athletes from the United States, Canada, Japan and Korea earned their spot at Worlds. They got there through a coast-to-coast tour that included stops like the Wild West Shootout in April, the Come and Take It Conroe Classic in May, the Volunteer Wake Surf Classic in June and the Dallas/Fort Worth competition in July, with riders competing across surf, skim, adaptive and foil divisions.

The Schedule
Competition starts Thursday, October 1 at 8:00 AM with preliminary rounds. Friday, October 2 brings the semifinals, where riders fight for a spot in the finals. Saturday, October 3 is finals day, with this year’s World Champions crowned on the podium after the last round. The party doesn’t stop at the dock: the podium ceremony Saturday evening is open to everyone, with the street shut down for a celebration outside Jensen’s Corner Bar.
There’s an extra title on the line too. The WSWS Champion title returns this year, going to the rider with the highest combined score across the full World Series of Wake Surfing season, including their Worlds result. That means consistency all year matters just as much as one big run in Winter Haven.

More Than a Contest
Worlds week has grown into a full-on gathering for the wakesurf community. Before the main event, Operation Get Out hosts Centurion Salute to Service events on September 29 and 30, giving first responders, active-duty military and veterans a day of rest and time on the water behind a Centurion.
After Thursday’s competition, stick around for something different. The ActionGlow Moonlight Show Down lights up Lake Silver as Centurion athletes ride LED-lit boards after dark. Centurion is also hosting its second-ever Owners Reunion during Worlds week, including an Owners Awards Dinner at Jensen’s Corner Bar on Friday, October 2, and owners get access to a VIP viewing area each day with complimentary food and seating.

Thinking about a new boat? Centurion is running demo rides October 1–3 from 10am to 4pm daily, with the Nv233, Ri245, RS230, RS265 and RS245 on hand. Bring your own life jacket, board and towel. Demo sign-ups are linked from the official event page.
