The 2024 Nautique WWA Wake Park World Championships presented by GM Marine and proudly supported by Experience Gold Coast wrapped up on September 24th, leaving behind a trail of impressive performances, crowned champions, and energized crowds. Held at the Gold Coast Wake Park over four action-packed days, this global event showcased the pinnacle of wakeboarding talent.

With athletes representing over 30 countries competing in 37 divisions ranging from amateur to professional, the event was a true celebration of the sport’s international reach. The Gold Coast Wake Park provided a perfect venue for the event, with the enthusiastic crowds creating an unforgettable atmosphere.

Over the weekend, spectators were treated to epic displays of skill and athleticism as riders pushed their limits on the water. The event culminated with the crowning of WWA World Champions in each division, a testament to the hard work and dedication of these athletes.

Adding to the excitement, the Stuckey brothers, Gavin and Trent of the USA, once again cemented their dominance in the world of wake park wakeboarding, each retaining a World Champion title for 2024. However, this year saw an unexpected twist, as they traded wins in their respective disciplines, Gavin, known for his technical riding, clinched the top spot in Traditional Park. Meanwhile, Trent, typically a powerhouse in the Traditional division, secured the Features Only title. Trent’s journey was not without its challenges, as an unexpected fall during the Park division prevented him from reaching the finals, underscoring the unpredictability and high stakes of competitive wakeboarding. On the women’s side, Claudia Pagnini of Italy showcased her prowess, reclaiming the Pro Women Park title after missing out on the 2023 season due to injury, while Rivers Hedrick of the USA dominated the Pro Women Features division, claiming her first WWA world title.

The excitement doesn’t end here, as the action now shifts to Marine Stadium, Main Beach, Gold Coast for the Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships presented by GM Marine. Riders will take to the water behind Nautique Boat’s flagship G23 model, promising even more thrilling moments and world-class competition.
