Pass The Handle Week Is Here: Help Grow the Future of Water Sports

July 13-19 is #PassTheHandle Week, a nationwide initiative dedicated to introducing new people to the sports we all love. Whether it’s wakesurfing, wakeboarding, waterskiing, foiling, kneeboarding, or cable riding, this week is about one simple idea: sharing the experience.
Every rider remembers their first pull. The first successful deep-water start. The first time they crossed the wake. The first high-five back in the boat. Those moments don’t happen without someone willing to pass the handle.
Now it’s your turn.
How Will You Pass The Handle?
You don’t have to be a pro rider or coach to make an impact. Every session on the water is an opportunity to introduce someone new to the sport.
Here are a few ways you can get involved this week:
- Teach a friend or family member to ride for the very first time.
- Invite someone who’s always wanted to experience a day on the water.
- Share beginner tips, coaching advice, or your own first-ride story on social media using #PassTheHandle.
- Encourage your local riding community to welcome new faces.
- Visit a participating wake park or lesson provider hosting a Pass The Handle event.
The goal isn’t bigger tricks or longer sessions—it’s creating the next generation of riders who will fall in love with life on the water.

Share Your Experience
Whether you’re teaching someone’s very first deep-water start or simply inviting a friend along for a day at the lake, we’d love to see it.
Post your photos and videos throughout the week using #PassTheHandle and help inspire others to do the same.
The future of wake sports isn’t built on bigger tricks alone—it’s built every time someone hands a beginner the rope and says, “You’ve got this.”
So grab an extra vest, make room in the boat, and pass the handle.
