The sixth edition of the LANGENFELD OPEN presented by Liquid Force will take place on May 17, 2025. Top riders from around the globe are making their way to LAO once again. Custom-built UNIT hacks are the highlight of the contest, pushing even seasoned pros to their limits. The riders are competing for 15,000 US dollars in prize money.

A look at the six sections and the rider line-up promises highlights!

Section 1:
This year, the UNIT pool is getting the biggest rebuild in LAO history. A low-to-high ledge is going in on the right rail, setting up a massive drop. In front of the pool, a booter launches riders straight into it. On the side, a kicker opens up a line onto an add-on rail and then across to the left down rail. One thing’s for sure: there won’t be a shortage of lines.

Section 2:
As in previous years, there’s a UNIT L-Kicker on both the right and left. Riders will need to carefully weigh how much risk they want to take this early in the run.

Section 3:
In the air trick section, both judges and spectators are looking forward to big inverts. For those looking to mix things up, there’s a full-on transformer setup, built from a total of five different UNIT features!

Section 4:
The LIQUID FORCE section features the legendary UNIT Skatebox on the left – rotated 180° and packed with blue plastic barrels. On the opposite side, there’s a Rooftop-Nico Hack.

Section 5:
The FOLLOW section features a step-down corrugated pipe on the left. The base of this hack consists of UNIT features that open up additional step-up lines. On the right is an Up-Flat Creeper combined with a Street Series hack.

Section 6:
The final part of the course is the NISSAN section. The Kickerto-corrugated-pipe setup will demand full focus – this last hit often decides the run. Alternatively, the left side offers an Up-Rail to Box Hack, which is already part of the public setup.
