2018 Malibu WWA Rider Experience North

The 2018 Malibu WWA Rider Experience North is a few days away! Riders of all ages and abilities are invited to join us for a weekend of fun and progression with host Tommy’s Detroit. Riders from the northern region will be joined by Malibu Pro riders Brian Grubb, Chad Sharpe, Massi Piffaretii, Raph Derome, and Charli Shore!

Additional $50 late fee for Jr. Pro Division & Pro Card Qualifier starts Monday, July 9 at 5PM EST

Schedule of Events

Friday, July 13th – Freeride Friday at The White Lake Inn. Practice with the pros!
Saturday, July 14th – Surfgate Saturday at The White Lake Inn. Wakesurf with the pros!
Sunday, July 15th – Regional Championships North at Lyons Ski Club (note location change)

The Malibu WWA Rider Experience is a series of regionally placed amateur events around the US for all WWA amateur divisions and Jr. Pro Men’s

Each Rider Experience event is open to all riders, however, all riders must compete in their respective WWA Regional Championships to be invited to the 2018 WWA Wakeboard National Championships (Boat Only).

All Amateur Competitors – Seeding for the WWA Wakeboard National Championships will be based on competing in the Malibu WWA Rider Experience Regional Championships. If you are competing in the 2018 WWA Wakeboard National Championships and were 1st in your division in 2017 then you will be top seed.  All other riders will be seeded from the WWA Regional Championships.

Any rider can compete at any and all Malibu WWA Rider Experience Events. Riders will only receive seeding when competing in their region.

Amateur Regional Championships $75 USD
(INCLUDES registration for Freeride Friday, Surfgate Saturday, Regional Championships, and Judges Experience) 
Amateur Wakesurf Competition $75 USD
(INCLUDES registration for Freeride Friday, Surfgate Saturday, Regional Championships, and Judges Experience) 
Jr. Pro Men $100 USD ($150 after 6/25/18)
