2022 Connelly – Steel | Wakeboard Review

Steel Lafferty knows how to keep busy; between wakeboarding, golf or just going viral, Steel does a little bit of everything in 2022 and so does his board. At first glance, the new 2022 Steel pro model doesn’t seem very different from last year’s iteration, however that couldn’t be further from the truth. With the introduction of a new base material for the bottom sheet, along with ABS sidewalls, Steel’s pro model is officially a hybrid board. This board’s shape doesn’t exactly fall in line with the current day cable sled but it is still a solid option for someone looking for a boat board that they can take for the occasional trip to the cable. Same as last year, this board features a spine running down the middle of the board tip to tail, and 3-stage rocker designed to give you those Steel Lafferty airs. Connelly, has taken a solid board shape for the boat and given it more versatility to perform at the cable as well.
