2016 Exposure Meter #15-11
15. Raph Derome
“The Freak” is undoubtedly one of the most talented riders to ever ride sideways and is constantly pushing the progression of creative riding in video parts. While Raph does’t shoot photos as often as other riders he is one of the easiest to shoot because there is a purpose and vision behind everything he does. We would be stoked to see the 2013 ROTY grace more pages of the magazine.
14. Brian Grubb
Grubb was the very first rider to ever get the cover of this magazine back in 2001 and is still making his way into the magazine in 2016. He has had four Alliance covers over the years and has had one of the longest careers out of anyone – wakeboard or wakeskate. Thanks to sponsor support running ads and editorial coverage he managed to take the 14th spot on this list.
13. Collin Harrington
The one man band that is Collin Harrington has shot many of his own photos that make it into the pages of the magazine. He is also the poster boy for GoPro when it comes to wakeboarding, which helps boost him up on the exposure list for 2016.
12. Nico Von Lerchenfeld
Nico has battled some injuries the past couple years, which has hurt his exposure in the past. Luckily, Nico was healthy and put on a show for everyone with his unique style and even found his way onto the podium at the majority of the contests he entered this year.
11. Massi Piffaretti
Italy’s most patriotic rider is guaranteed to light up the room when he walks in. Massi was relatively quiet on the pages of the magazine this year until a trip to his homeland which landed him on the cover and an 8-page feature in the mag from his homeland – including this shot of beautiful Lake Como.
